She wished it while looking at a magazine. The magazine was her sister Chrisanne’s. She was sitting on the sweater Debbie had decided to borrow after coming into Chrisanne’s room to use her lip gloss. Chrissanne wasn’t there. She had gone somewhere.

Meanwhile, in another part of town, Hector’s sister, Rowanne, was upstairs in her bedroom changing her clothes or something. Hector could hear her humming, and the sound of drawers opening and closing. He was crossing the front hall on his way to the kitchen and, as he passed the mirror, he glanced in and gave himself a little smile.

This book is really great! It had some romance for the girls too and some action for the guys too. So overall it was a good book. The book was about a boy named Jesse who has great drawing talent and likes to show them to Mrs. Edmunds. Then he meets this girl named Leslie who has a great imagination. With Jesse's drawing talent and Leslie’s imagination they made the land Terabithia. One day Leslie went to Terabithia alone. To find out what happened to Leslie check this and other books out at Jones Paideia library. Make sure you read the whole thing to find out what happened to Leslie.

Onion John

Reviewed by Gregory

Onion John is a very good book. The father brought home a dog, but I didn’t I tell you that he was a criminal. The father stole food for his family to eat. The boy hoped there was a flood so the town could be closer together. Then in chapter two the police found out about the stealing.

So then they arrested the boy’s father. I don’t think Sounder was happy about that. So Sounder raced after the wagon and the police aimed and fired!!! Sounder was lying in the road. He was still moving but barely. He was badly wounded. Blood was coming from a lot of his body. He was wiggling away from the boy. I guess he was going away to a dark place to die.

If you want to know more about Sounder check out the book at Jones Paideia’s library.

Hatchet

Reviewed by Jay

Once upon a time there was a little boy named Brian.
